Arkansas added 218 new cases in the Covid-19 statistics, the number of active cases with a huge drop
Arkansas – The number of active Covid-19 cases dropped to 8,085, which is 400 less compared to yesterday, Arkansas Department of Health Covid-19 daily report shows.
According to the report, the state added a total of 218 new cases now reaching a total of 538,426 cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
Additional 8 Covid-19 deaths were added in the statistics. With these eight deaths, the total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic now reaches 8,848.
In the last 24 hours, 5,414 doses of the Covid-19 vaccines were administrated across Arkansas.
Counties with the highest number of new cases are Pulaski, Benton and Faulkner adding 17, 17 and 16 cases respectively.
There are 486 people in hospital, 11 more compared to the day before. There is no change in the number of people on ventilator support (108).
“These are weekend numbers so it is hard to determine a trend. Active cases dropped, and another 5,000 doses of the vaccine were given out yesterday,” Gov. Hutchinson said on Twitter.
