National Weather Service: Heat advisory in effect all week
Little Rock, Arkansas – Temperatures reaching 100° with feels like over 110° will return this week and there is no sign of them going away.
Anytime the heat index or feels like temperature is forecast to exceed 105°, the National Weather Service Little Rock will issue a heat advisory. There is already a heat advisory in effect from noon to 8 pm on Independence day.
As we move deeper into the workweek, the high heat and humidity will only strengthen. It is likely the National Weather Service will issue more heat advisories or even excessive heat warnings until next weekend.
Next weekend there is a small chance that a cold front could near Arkansas and cool temperatures a few degrees.
Looking past the weekend, all signs point to near-record temperatures.
