Halloween night in Rogers ends in infants death
Little Rock, Arkansas – Following the death of their young child, the mother and father were detained, Rogers police reported on Wednesday.
Vincent Heyns, 24, and Emily Heyns, 21, were detained on charges of manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a juvenile, according to county prosecutor Nathan Smith.
The youngster was recognized by Smith as Waylon Heyns, a 2-month-old.
When the two adults went trick-or-treating, according to Smith, they smoked marijuana before staying up late watching movies.
Smith claims that they fed the infant and went to bed with Waylon asleep on his father’s chest at around 8 or 9 in the morning.
At around 2:00 p.m., the child’s grandfather arrived and woke up the parents. At the time, Waylon was unresponsive.
