AG Rutledge announces $5 million allocation to state and local law enforcement
Little Rock, Arkansas – Leslie Rutledge, the attorney general of Arkansas, declared on Thursday that money would be provided to help local and state law enforcement.
On the 200-acre Precision Driving Training Complex at Camp Joe T. Robinson Army installation, Rutledge said the $5 million allotted is to be given to the Arkansas State Police for further expansion.
The complex is designed to be used for training sessions where local and state law enforcement can participate and get useful practical experience, according to the news release.
“Arkansas’s law enforcement family are some of the most dedicated public servants,” said Rutledge. “This funding will ensure that our dedicated men and women in blue are properly trained to respond to any situation and are best prepared to address any challenges they may face.”
She made her declaration during the complex’s dedication ceremony.
When the complex’s construction was first announced in 2018, Arkansas was one of the three states without a facility of this kind.
Rutledge provided approximately $27 million to various police enforcement programs that benefit the entire state and create safer and stronger communities, in addition to holding several trainings throughout the state.
