Reforestation in Burns Park on Saturday morning need volunteers

North Little Rock, Arkansas – Volunteers are needed for a tornado cleanup job in Burns Park this Saturday.
Volunteers are needed on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. by the White Oak Bayou Wetlands Conservancy. After the region was devastated by the tornado on March 31, 2023, volunteers will plant more than 500 natural wetland trees along 5 acres of Burns Park’s White Oak Bayou.
Adults must accompany youngsters, and volunteers must be at least 12 years old, according to officials.
At 9:15 a.m., at the Burns Park Archery Range, located at 4500 Arlene Laman Drive, in the park, North Little Rock councilmen Ron Harris and Steve Baxter will deliver a check to the White Oak Bayou Wetlands Conservancy.
