Arkansas legislative session getting started
Little Rock, Arkansas – This week’s Capitol View focuses on recent developments in the state legislature and newly filed measures.
The host of Capitol View, Roby Brock, discussed the most recent legislative activity in Arkansas as well as some further cabinet nominees for Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders.
Attorney General Tim Griffin joined Brock to talk about the work being done in Arkansas on criminal justice reform and anticipated impending legislation. Griffin talked about his worries about funding in some areas of the system, punishment, and time served by individuals convicted in the state.
Brock next had a meeting with Representatives Jamie Scott and Aaron Pilkington of the Millennial Action Project’s Arkansas Future Caucus.
Young leaders on both sides of the political spectrum are connected through MAP. Despite their political differences, they each discuss what they aim to accomplish and what they want to see during the parliamentary session.
