Red Cross Arkansas changes the list of shelters
Little Rock, Arkansas – People or families who need a place to stay have shelters in Little Rock, Wynne, and Jacksonville.
Red Cross Arkansas said that they are looking into disasters and giving out emergency supplies.
The American Red Cross said that anyone, no matter their race, religion, nationality, or citizenship status, can use their services.
Friday night, the Red Cross opened a shelter in Little Rock:
• Calvary Baptist Church, 5700 Cantrell Road, Little Rock, AR 72207.
Two shelters in Wynne that Red Cross is supporting:
• Wynne Junior High, 849 Eldridge Ave, Wynne, AR 72396.
• Wynne Assembly of God Church, 1900 North Killough Rd, Wynne 72396.
Jacksonville has one shelter open:
• First Baptist Church, 401 N. First Street, Jacksonville, AR 72076.
There are other shelters available for people who need a place to stay.
To get into a Red Cross shelter, you do NOT need to show proof of who you are or where you live.
When going to a Red Cross Arkansas shelter, people and families are asked to bring the following items:
• Clothing for a few days.
• Bedding.
• Toiletries.
• Essential medication.
• A child’s stuffed animal, blanket, or other items for your children.
