New billboard seeks to ban contentious books from the Saline County Library
Benton, Arkansas – The fight that’s going on over library books is getting more attention thanks to a new billboard in Saline County.
A sign that says “stop x-rated library books” can be found in the vicinity of the parking lot for the Walmart in Benton.
The website URL that is displayed on the billboard leads to a selection of books that can be borrowed from the library and discuss racial and sexual orientation concerns. According to the website, certain titles should not be available to those of a younger age.
According to the website, the Saline County Republican Women and the Saline County Republican Committee are the organizations who are responsible for sponsoring the link and the billboard.
