AG Leslie Rutledge contests for lieutenant governor of Arkansas

Little Rock, Arkansas – Just over 33% of the vote went to Democrat Kelly Krout, while 3.5% went to Libertarian Frank Gilbert.
Before the general elections, contenders for lieutenant governor of Arkansas debate on stage.
When Sarah Huckabee Sanders and Rutledge are elected, they will be the first two women to hold the top administrative positions in Arkansas history, making this election historic for the state.
She has served the maximum number of terms as the attorney general of Arkansas, which is presently two.
Tim Griffin, the former lieutenant governor, who won the election to become the new attorney general of the state, and Rutledge will switch posts.

In total, the GOP had a fantastic night in Arkansas, winning every state position and maintaining its control of the country. Four U.S. Senate seats and all House places.
