Arkansas lawmakers show their support during a fundraiser for famine relief
Little Rock, Arkansas – Thursday night was the night that the annual fundraising event known as “Serving up Solutions” took place at the Albert Pike Masonic Center.
The Arkansas Legislative Hunger Caucus is the organization that is organizing this event in order to collect money for the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance.
According to Sylvia Blain, the Chief Executive Officer of the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance, “Tonight is our 17th annual serving up solutions, and it is our largest fundraiser of the year to support all of our programs in Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance to alleviate hunger in the state of Arkansas.”
The purpose of the event is to gather funds in order to assist in the fight against the food insecurity rate in Arkansas, which is the highest found anywhere in the country.
All of the food that was served at the event was donated by local restaurants like as Trio’s, Cypress Social, Brood & Barley, and the Croissanterie. More than sixty Arkansas legislators were responsible for serving the meals.
