Head-on crash leaves 1 dead, 1 injured in Faulkner County

Conway, Arkansas – One person died and one person was injured after a head-on crash in Faulkner County Thursday, state police reported.
Haley Mitchell, 34, of Conway, was driving a 2017 Nissan Sentra west on the eastbound side of Highway 64, according to state police. Around 7:53 p.m., the Nissan struck the front of a 2015 Buick Encore.
Police said Mitchell was later pronounced dead. Cynthia Ellis, 58, who was driving the Buick, was injured.
State police said conditions were clear and dry at the time of the crash.
