Next week, Little Rock and North Little Rock’s Interstate 30 lanes will be closed
Little Rock, Arkansas – For the full week beginning on Monday, February 19, construction is anticipated to begin in Little Rock and North Little Rock.
During the day, lane closures will occur from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The overnight lanes will close from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. There won’t be any double lane closures on Interstate lanes between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. There will be construction barrels and signage advising cars in Arkansas to drive carefully through work zones. Additionally, there will be 24-hour closures.
This evening, traffic on I-40 Eastbound is anticipated to move to new pavement from the I-30 Eastbound ramp to the North Hills Boulevard exit.
During the day, single-lane closures are as follows: I-30 frontage roads in Little Rock between 6th and 10th streets; in North Little Rock, Locust Street northbound between Broadway and 5th Street and between Curtis Sykes Drive and 17th Street; in Cypress Street southbound between 5th and Broadway Street; and in Broadway Street between Magnolia and Pine Streets.
For nighttime closures, the following traffic changes and single and double-lane closures apply:
Single and double lane closures, as well as traffic shifts, are anticipated on I-30 between Roosevelt Road in Little Rock and Interstate 40 (I-40) in North Little Rock. Additionally, single and double-lane closures are anticipated on the I-30 / I-40 lanes and ramps at the north terminal in North Little Rock. In North Little Rock, single-lane closures are anticipated on Cypress Street southbound between Magnolia and Pine Street, on Broadway between Magnolia and Pine Streets, and on Locust Street northbound between Broadway and 5th Street as well as between Curtis Sykes Drive and 17th Street.
On Saturday, February 24, President Clinton Avenue in Little Rock between Mahlon Martin and Sherman Street will be closed for 24 hours. Users are advised to utilize Third Street as a detour. There will also be a 24-hour closure on West Riverfront Drive in North Little Rock between Pine and Olive Streets. ARDOT reports that Riverfront Drive Eastbound will be made two-way traffic-friendly.
