Little Rock, Arkansas – Over the next three years, Apptegy, a software business, will add more than 300 new jobs to Little Rock, according to company officials’ announcement on Friday morning.

With plans to double its space in 2023, the Little Rock-based business currently occupies over 60,000 square feet in the Riverdale neighborhood. Jeston George, the founder and CEO of the company, claimed that the community in Arkansas has given the company a solid foundation.

“That community – particularly the Arkansas Economic Development Commission and the Little Rock Regional Chamber – continues to support Apptegy’s growth efforts and we’re proud to be headquartered here,” George said.

Asa Hutchinson, the governor of Arkansas, joined Apptegy executives for the announcement. The governor clarified that growing the number of technology businesses in the state was one of his top priorities while in office. He claimed that Apptegy and George have boosted technology in Arkansas.

Mike Preston, the secretary of commerce, stressed the significance of encouraging young, expanding firms.

“Whether a company is just starting out or entering a new phase of growth, Arkansas has the workforce and business climate companies need to succeed,” Preston said.

Due to COVID-19, Mayor Frank Scott Jr. was unable to attend the announcement. In a statement, he praised the company’s accomplishments and noted that Little Rock was quickly emerging as a top location for job expansion.

“Entrepreneurs like Jeston George and success stories like Apptegy are making Little Rock a catalyst for the new South and a premier city for jobs growth,” Scott said. “I congratulate Jeston George and the team at Apptegy on their great success in Little Rock.”
