Rep. Steve Womack of Arkansas announced that he will run for reelection next year

Little Rock, Arkansas – Steve Womack, a Republican from Arkansas, said on Wednesday that he would run for reelection to Congress for an additional eight years.
Womack, who was first elected to Congress in 2010, declared he would run for re-election to the position of representative for northwest Arkansas’s 3rd Congressional District.
“Fighting to combat this Administration’s far-left agenda, supporting our nation’s military, and serving the needs of my constituents will be my priorities for the next Congress,” Womack said in a statement. “I am uniquely positioned to make a true difference in Washington. I remain committed to restoring conservative values — American values that make our nation the greatest in the world.”
Womack served as the House Budget Committee’s previous chairman. He is now the chairman of the Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government of the House Appropriations Committee.
Womack had been the mayor of Rogers, in northwest Arkansas, for 12 years prior to his election to Congress. The two senators and all four U.S. House representatives for Arkansas are Republicans.
