State police investigating incident involving West Helena female student
Little Rock, Arkansas — An incident involving a female student at Kipp Elementary School occurred in West Helena.
On the afternoon of April 27, parent Regina Short stated her 6-year-old daughter told her had been physically assaulted by the Principal, Dancy Martin, earlier that day, according to a report.
According to Short, she contacted the school and requested to review the video of the incident.
On May 5, Short viewed the footage and said she saw the principal grab her daughter by the arm and drag her daughter down the hallway. She later filed a police report.
An investigation is ongoing.
