Little Rock, Arkansas – This weekend, thousands of people descended upon Little Rock’s downtown for the Jehovah’s Witness convention.

Thousands of people have visited the Statehouse Convention Center as a result of the event, which concludes on Sunday.

For this third church gathering in three weeks, lodging and nearby dining establishments are fully booked around the River Market.

“Everyone gets bad news, whether its globally locally or personally, so we need good news to counteract the bad and that helps us to be happier in spite of negative circumstances that may be beyond our control,” Scott Smith, Arkansas spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses said.

Over 6,700 people have visited Little Rock as a result of the three conventions, according to the organizers.
