The Democratic Party of Arkansas supports Kamala Harris
Little Rock, Arkansas – The Arkansas Democratic Party has decided to back Vice President Kamala Harris in her bid for the presidency in 2024.
On Monday night, delegates convened digitally to deliberate on the candidates they desired to be on the ballot. We got a statement after the party kept the meeting closed to the media.
To choose an endorsement, they held a roll call vote in which Vice President Harris received every vote.
“No one is better prepared than Vice President Harris to prosecute the case against Donald Trump and articulate how Democrats are working for a Better Arkansas. At this critical time in our nation’s history, the Vice President is prepared, poised, and right out of the gate demonstrating how strong she will be as our nominee,” said Grant Tennille, Chairman of the Democratic Party of Arkansas.
Vice President Harris began her first full day of her presidential campaign after this.
Vice President Harris launched her “political case” against former President Donald Trump, winning the support of numerous congressmen and all Democratic governors.
”Donald Trump wants to take our country backward, to a time before many of our fellow Americans had full freedoms and rights, but we believe in a brighter future that makes room for all Americans.,” said Vice President Harris.
The vice president’s candidacy was also supported by Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, and Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr.
The Democratic Party of Arkansas is scheduled to address the media in a second meeting on Tuesday.
