Two dead in collision on Highway 351
Greene County, Arkansas – Friday morning there was a fiery crash that claimed two lives and transported another person to the hospital.
The two-vehicle collision on Friday, December 15, at 8:30 a.m., occurred on Highway 351 close to the intersection of Greene County Road 721, according to Sheriff Brad Snyder.
One car was overturned and “engulfed in flames” when first responders arrived, according to Snyder.
“At this time we can confirm that there were two fatalities involved in this crash,” Snyder said in an 11:30 a.m. update. “One person has been airlifted to a Memphis hospital for treatment.”
According to the sheriff, the victims’ names would not be released until their next of kin had been notified.
“Arkansas State Police is investigating this crash and, as such, any further information requests should be directed to their agency,” Snyder said. “Please, keep the families and first responders in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”
Crews had to work for about three hours to clean the debris and reopen the highway.
