What you should know about the holiday airport rush
Little Rock, Arkansas – As the holidays approach, more people than ever are using airports to get home to their families.
According to a news release, there are greater wait times at local airports, including Clinton National Airport. However, by making forward plans, this can be prevented.
“You need to be at the airport two hours before your flight. Particularly if you’re flying early morning into the early afternoon time period. You’ve got to account for finding a parking spot. Going to the ticket counter and checking your luggage and then going through TSA remember your flight will board 30 minutes before the departure time. So, you start adding all of that up and then that two hours goes by very quickly,” Carter said.
According to Shane Carter, the spokesman for Clinton National Airport, approximately 42,000 passengers are anticipated to depart the airport between November 16 and November 26 alone.
