Woman charged in Northeast Arkansas after being implicated in a tragic hit-and-run

Little Rock, Arkansas — Police claimed that a Jonesboro lady struck a person with her car, causing the individual to later pass away, and she is now in jail.

Amber Deere, 28, was charged with the fatal hit-and-run incident.

According to a news release from September 17, Marie Collins, 39, was hit by a black Ford Explorer at 9:15 a.m. on Mulberry Avenue in Wynne.

Collins was subsequently transported to a hospital in Memphis where she passed away from her wounds.

Deere was apprehended after police said they were able to find her thanks to information.

Deere is accused of a Class “B” crime called leaving the scene of an accident.
