Little Rock Police Department hosted their annual back-to-school event helping those in need
Little Rock, Arkansas – Little Rock Police Department officers held their back-to-school annual event helping students in need.
The event took place on Saturday at the Southwest Community Center, just off Baseline Road.
Officers were giving away school supplies to students and their families in need. According to the police department, boxes of food was also given to them.
Little Rock Police Department staff and the Little Rock Fraternal Order of Police donated the supplies and backpacks.
Multiple other organizations were part of the event including Arkansas Food Bank, Saint Mark Baptist Church, Arkansas Quilts for Kids and Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority that donated food for the event and other supplies.
We look forward more events of this type to be organized in town.
