Sunday afternoon military jet crashed in Texas, two pilots injured, residents displaced from their homes
Texas – Two injured pilots and three damaged homes was the result of the military training jet crash that happened near Fort Worth in Texas on Sunday, authorities confirmed.
According to them, the training military jet crashed in Lake Worth, close to Fort Worth, and both pilots are alive, but suffered injuries. Both of the pilots ejected themselves from the plane before the crash.
“This incident could have been much worse,” Lake Worth Fire Chief Ryan Arthur said of the crash, which authorities were alerted to shortly before 11 a.m.
Police Chief J.T. Manoushagian said one pilot’s parachute got tangled in power lines and that both were being treated for injuries.
Additionally, three houses were damaged in the incident and the residents were temporarily displaced until their homes are repaired.
The neighborhood is located near the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base. Officials said multiple representatives from the military were at the crash scene.
