This Halloween, Arkansans are encouraged to “Save a Vampire” by giving blood
Little Rock, Arkansas – Blood drive activities will be held in donor locations in Little Rock, North Little Rock, and Hot Springs thanks to a collaboration between the Arkansas Blood Institute and the Little Rock Zoo.
Residents of central Arkansas are welcome to donate blood on October 31 in honor of Halloween.
Donors will also get two free tickets to the Little Rock Zoo’s GloWILD lantern festival and a complimentary limited edition “Save a Vampire” glow-in-the-dark t-shirt.
When and where the events will be:
• Little Rock location: Little Rock Donor Center, 101 South Shackleford Road, Little Rock, AR 72211 Date & Time: Monday, Oct. 31, from 8:30 am – 6 pm
• North Little Rock location: North Little Rock Donor Center, 4548 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Little Rock, AR 72116 Date & Time: Monday, Oct. 31, from 8:30 am – 6 pm
• Hot Springs location: Hot Springs Donor Center, 149 Section Line Road, Hot Springs, AR 71913 Date & Time: Monday, Oct. 31, from 8:00 am – 6 pm
Blood donation is encouraged for all healthy persons.
With parental permission, a 16-year-old must weigh 125 pounds or more, a 17-year-old must weigh 125 pounds or more, and an 18-year-old must weigh 110 pounds or more.
