Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund is presently accepting applications for the spring of 2024
Little Rock, Arkansas – For the spring 2024 semester, the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund is currently accepting applications.
Single parents attending universities, community institutions, and trade schools are eligible for the scholarship fund. According to the ASPSF, they could get up to $1,600 next spring to aid in funding their studies.
On October 15, the ASPSF will no longer be accepting applicants.
“The scholarship helped me purchase a laptop,” ASPSF Alumna Carrie Terry said. “I took that laptop with me to dance competitions, to ball games. I did a lot of homework at intermissions, at halftimes, at practices, and my lunch hours at work so I didn’t have to sacrifice all the hours with my kids.”
According to ASPSF, their team helps single parents so they can continue their education and land their ideal job by offering mentoring, resources, and encouragement.
According to ASPSF, parents must have a GED or high school graduation, a 2.0 GPA in previous courses, and a family income that is typically no higher than 250% of the federal poverty guidelines in order to be eligible for the scholarship.
