Almost 300 new Covid-19 cases in Arkansas, no deaths reported
Conway, Arkansas – Arkansas added 288 new confirmed Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours according to Arkansas Department of Health.
Luckily, no new deaths were reported as a result of the virus.
With the latest numbers, the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic now reaches 344,657. The total number of deaths remains at 5,867.
Currently, there are a total of 2,251 active cases statewide. 211 people are hospitalized.
ADH also reported that 5,928 additional doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered.
This is what Gov. Asa Hutchinson said on Twitter today:
The need to get vaccinated continues to be apparent. We have been able to decrease our case numbers and hospitalizations dramatically over the past six months due to the vaccine, but we must increase our vaccination numbers to avoid new cases & hospitalizations.
