Gould, Arkansas – American Red Cross announced that it will close its shelter for people impacted by the floods in Gould on Saturday. The shelter is located at Marzell Missionary Baptist Church.

The hotline, however, will remain active and everyone in need of assistance as a result of the flooding can call the 417-447-7180. People from Southeast Arkansas are welcome to call the number if they need any kind of assistance if their homes have been destroyed and damaged by the floods.

The number will be operational from Friday through Thursday, June 17 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Red Cross is asking those who will report to have a proof of address like ID, driving license, recent bill, mortgage statement or rental agreement. If those kinds of documents have been destroyed in the floods, they should inform the Red Cross.

Red Cross crews will continue to be present in the areas most hit by the floods and will evaluate the damage caused in the recent days.
