Authorities in Pulaski County pay tribute to the deceased deputy as the homicide investigation is ongoing

Little Rock, Arkansas – Pulaski County authorities are still grieving over the loss of one of their own while the 26-year-old sheriff’s deputy’s homicide is being investigated.

The death of Jacksonville resident Ursula Graham was discovered inside a car at the Hemlock Courts Housing Project on Friday, October 13, in the evening, according to North Little Rock police.

“Visible trauma was observed to the body,” police said in a news release last week. “The nature of the trauma is not being released at this time due to it being a detail of the investigation.”

At the time, neither the cause of Graham’s death nor a description of the suspect was available.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office continues to mourn the loss of one of our own,” the sheriff’s office said on social media Wednesday. “Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and our agency during this tragic time.”

Graham was reported missing by the sheriff’s office on October 13, just before her death was found that evening. Graham had not shown up for work, so deputies had gone to her Jacksonville apartment to check on her wellbeing. The previous day, about 8 p.m., was when she was last seen.

The apartments at 400 N. Palm St. have been the scene of several investigations by North Little Rock homicide detectives, not the least of which was Graham’s death.

After being shot at the apartments in August, North Little Rock resident Brandon Rogers, 34, passed away at a nearby hospital.

In May, 16-year-old Raymond Hudson was shot and killed at the flats. In connection with Hudson’s demise, Javion Green, a 16-year-old, is accused of one count of capital murder as an adult. In relation to Hudson’s death, another adolescent is being sought, Denerick Donaldson Jr., 17, who North Little Rock police believe should be regarded as armed and dangerous.

In November, Chris Moore, 33, was fatally shot in the same complex. After the shooting, Sean Williams, who was 15 at the time, was taken into custody and charged as an adult with one count of first-degree murder.
