Charlie Daniels, a former secretary of state for Arkansas, died at age 83
Little Rock, Arkansas – According to Roby Brock of TalkBusiness.net, Charlie Daniels, the former secretary of state, auditor of state, and commissioner of state lands for Arkansas, passed away following a brief illness.
Daniels held the positions of Arkansas State Auditor from 2011 to 2015, Secretary of State from 2003 to 2011, and Commissioner of State Lands from 1985 to 2003 during his thirty years in politics.
In addition to serving in the US Air Force and Air Force Reserve, Daniels, who was born in Parkers Chapel, attended Southern Arkansas University and the University of Arkansas in Little Rock.
Brock claims that Daniels was well-liked in the political community, particularly at Democratic Party events.
