Conway PD arrest two people in connection to Thursday morning homicide
CONWAY, Ark. — The Conway Police Department has arrested two people in connection to the Thursday morning homicide that killed 20-year-old Jason Sims near Rock Creek Apartments.
Officers made a traffic stop today and arrested a 17-year-old teenage boy along with 19-year-old Ezekiel Taylor.
The two face several charges including capital murder in Sims’ shooting death.
Police got a shots fired call Thursday morning near Rock Creek Apartment complex and later found Sims suffering from a gunshot wound. He later died at a hospital.
Thanks to tips from Facebook, detectives were able to develop the 17-year-old as a possible suspect within 12 hours of the incident.
Upon further investigation, police were led to the teen and Taylor. Police learned the pair lured Sims to the area and the encounter ended with him being shot. The 17-year-old is expected to be tried as an adult.

According to a tweet from the Conway Police Department, officers answered a shots fired call and found a 21-year-old man who had been shot.
Police say the man later died at the hospital.
Investigators say they’re trying to piece together what happened.
