Deputies in Jefferson County discovered human remains
Jefferson, County, Arkansas – Following the discovery of human remains by their K-9 unit on Friday afternoon, deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office are conducting an investigation.
Deputies with the JCSO said that during a grid search, the skeletal remains were discovered in extremely thick and dense underbrush.
The authorities added that they discovered clothing among the wreckage.
As of yet, it is unknown whether the remains are those of Maranda Neal, a missing person.
The Arkansas State Crime Lab has received the remains in order to identify them.
