Escaped murder suspect in custody

DES ARC, Ark.  – Arkansas State Police say a murder suspect who escaped jail Thursday night is back in police custody.

Earl Eugene Parks, who is suspected of killing a Wynne woman earlier this year, escaped the Prairie County Jail just before midnight, April 23, according to ASP.

He was arrested a few hours later, according to the sheriff’s office, thanks to two armed citizens.

Parks was arrested in January on suspicion of capital murder, abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence, and possession of firearms in relation to the murder of a Wynne woman.
