Man arrested after high-speed chase ended with him crashing into a building
Benton, Arkansas – On Wednesday, a guy was detained after a high-speed pursuit in Benton culminated with a vehicle crashing through the wall of a Dollar General.
Earlier, police attempted to stop Anthony Toombs, 23, for careless driving, but Toombs decided to flee, sparking a pursuit.
Toombs was traveling more than 100 miles per hour on East Street in Benton when he was unable to make a turn, forcing him to drive over the curb and collide with a Dollar General.
During the pursuit, officers say they witnessed Toombs throw a gun out of his car window.
Toombs has been brought to the Saline County Detention Center on numerous counts of felony.
