Martin Luther King Jr. Commission holds Easter egg hunt in Woodson
Little Rock, Arkansas – On Saturday, the Martin Luther King Jr. Commission hosted its inaugural MLK Easter egg hunt in Woodson.
Held in collaboration with the Ossie Barnes Empowerment Foundation, the celebration brought neighbors, friends, and family together for a happy day of festivities.
“We are thrilled to partner with the Ossie Barnes Empowerment Foundation to bring this wonderful event to the Hensley-Woodson community,” DuShun Scarbrough, the Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission executive director, said.
“At a time when it’s more important than ever to come together and celebrate our shared values, the Easter egg hunt provides a perfect opportunity for families to create lasting memories.”
Ossie Barnes Empowerment Foundation representatives agreed with this statement.
“As an organization dedicated to promoting community engagement and cultural enrichment, we are honored to join forces with the Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission for this festive occasion,” Paula Withers, the director of the Ossie Barnes Empowerment Foundation, said. “Together, we hope to spread joy and positivity throughout our community.”
