Mega Millions jackpot reaches $555 million
Little Rock, Arkansas – According to the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery, Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot has been raised to $555 million.
The estimated cash value of this drawing is worth $316.9 million, the lottery officials said. According to officials, if the jackpot is hit, it will be the fifth largest jackpot win in Mega Millions history.
The last time the Mega Millions saw a win was on April 15 when the jackpot was worth $20 million, the news release said.
The largest lottery prize ever awarded was won in January 2016 by lucky Powerball players winning $1.586 billion. Quickly behind is the second-largest winner: A single ticket winning big with the Mega Millions in South Carolina. Only $2 is needed to play in the Mega Millions lottery with the optional purchase of a $1 Megaplier, which will multiply any non-jackpot prizes won, the ASL said.
Tickets can be purchased at area retail stores in Arkansas or on the Jackpocket app.
