North Little Rock law enforcement creates a real-time crime center

North Little Rock, Arkansas – In an effort to respond to crimes more quickly, North Little Rock and Little Rock have decided to collaborate by utilizing their new Real Time Crime Center, which is leading to the emergence of a new cooperation between the two agencies.

The North Little Rock Police Department’s Sergeant Gary Jones described how his department has been developing this new method for a few years. It has already had encouraging effects, he added.

“It really helps add more eyes out there for the police department, and it also helps protect the citizens and visitors to our city and keep them safe,” said Sergeant Jones.

The department’s chief, Sergeant Jones, stated that they may access city cameras with the use of this new program, which also links with companies to provide emergency assistance.

“As soon as the 911 call is received, we may begin investigating and monitoring the situation. We can share what we’re observing on the scene with our responding police as they approach the location by providing them with that information,” the man stated.

According to Sergeant Jones, one benefit of their relationship with LRPD is that it enables both agencies to exchange information and stay informed about each other’s actions.

“Because a river divides the city, we can send them a message very quickly if something suspicious happens over here or over there and we have a suspect description. Then, instruct them to search for a car that might be entering their city over the bridge so they can obtain that information instantly “explained Sergeant Jones.

The North Little Rock Police Department encourages locals to utilize the system as well, regardless of the severity of the offense.

It relieves our investigators of some of their workload by removing the need for them to walk the neighborhoods. It saves a lot of time and allows us to receive information faster if a large number of people register their cameras, according to Sergeant Jones.
