Scam caller acting as a deputy sheriff for Pulaski County

Little Rock, Arkansas – On Friday afternoon, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office disclosed that one of its deputies had reported to them about a fraud that was still going on.
The Sheriff’s Office reported that the scam’s linked phone number is 501-236-6834.
According to the police, the con artist poses as a Pulaski County Lieutenant.
According to a recording of one of the scam calls made by the sheriff’s office, the caller identified himself as “Sergeant Ben Pierce with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.”
In order to get “immediate attention,” the con artist emphasizes “confidential legal matters” and instructs call receivers to dial “501-401-4366.”
According to the Sheriff’s Office, PCSO is not involved in this scam.
