Searcy police detectives detain a man on allegations of child pornography
Little Rock, Arkansas – On Wednesday, Searcy Police Department detectives detained a man on suspicion of child pornography.
Adam L. Williams, 23, of Searcy, was detained on seven counts of distributing, possessing, and viewing material depicting sexual conduct with a child, according to a department press release.
According to the police, detectives started looking into a case after receiving a tip online through the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
The tip enabled police to get a search warrant for Williams, which resulted in his capture. He was reportedly taken to the White County Jail for booking, according to the authorities.
The Searcy police say the investigation is still ongoing. The probe may lead to the filing of additional charges.
According to the White County Sheriff’s Office Jail Roster, Williams’ next court appearance is scheduled for November 11.
All defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law, according to the agency.
