Law enforcement officer dies
Greene County, Arkansas – Joshua Murray, 36, is remembered with grief in communities around northeast Arkansas.
On December 15, he passed away. He was a Paragould, Arkansas, native.
Murray worked for the Blytheville Fire Department as a firefighter. He was given the Firefighter of the Year award in 2015. Later, he changed to the Blytheville Police Division. He was given the Law Enforcement of the Year award while working there.
Along with the Pocahontas Police Department, he also worked with the Greene and Clay County Sheriff’s Departments.
At Phillips Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 20, the family will host visitors from 11:00 am until the start of the ceremony. At Phillips Funeral Home, the funeral ceremony will get underway at 1:00 p.m. Kevin Murray will serve as the celebrant. At Greene County Memorial Gardens, there will be a burial after.
