Wynne suffers significant storm damage
Wynne, Arkansas – In response to the damage caused by the tornadoes on Friday, Wynne, Arkansas, is advancing its recovery initiatives to assist others.
On Saturday, a contribution center for the City of Wynne is open at 187 Murray Avenue.
Please deliver any donations of hot meals to Wynne Junior High School.
Starting today, hot meals will be available at the following locations:
• ODell McCallum Center – 325 Magnolia St 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
• Wynne Baptist Church – 1200 East Bridges Ave
• Grants Snack Shack – Front St & Commercial
• Wynne Junior High – 849 Eldridge Ave 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
There will be portable restrooms on Front Street and at 350 Front Street.
At Wynne Baptist Church, First Assembly, Camp Calvary, Harmony Health Clinic, and Wynne Junior High School, shelters have been erected.
According to ARcare Wynne’s nurses, the building has power.
A mobile unit is positioned outside the H&R parking lot in case someone requires medical assistance, oxygen, or insulin.
Due to the effects of the weather, there are a number of road closures in Wynne, including:
• US Highway 64 from Memphis is closed.
• Arkansas Highway 163 intersection going to Wynne is closed.
