Arkansas Children’s Hospital achieves seven specialty service rankings

Little Rock, Arkansas – Arkansas Children’s Hospital made the U.S. News & World Report’s “Best” list for pediatric hospitals in a record seven specialty areas.

For the first time in the hospital’s history, the state’s only pediatric health system also achieved a “Best” ranking in the specialty area of cancer.

Among 200 children’s hospitals in the survey rankings, Little Rock-based ACH ranked 42 for cancer treatment.

In seven specialty areas, the rankings put ACH in the top 50 pediatric hospitals.

ACH ranked 29 for Diabetes & Endocrinology specialty areas and No.24 for Pulmonary & Lung Surgery.

The hospital’s other “best” rankings include cardiology (44), nephrology (34), neurology (48), and urology (40).

According to Arkansas Children’s President & CEO Marcy Doderer, “These record rankings validate the journey Arkansas Children’s is on as we strive to create a future where every Arkansas child can reach their full potential”.

The entire Arkansas Children’s team is to be congratulated because the rankings indicate ACH is committed to industry best practices, emphasizing safe care and delivering some of the nation’s best outcomes for kids, Doderer said.
