Arkansas hits over 9,000 active cases, Gov. Hutchinson urges Arkansas to vaccinate
Conway, Arkansas – Arkansas Department of Health reported 980 new positive Covid-19 cases in the latest daily Covid-19 report issued on Thursday.
Four more people were reported dead.
Currently, there are 9,079 active cases across the state. This is 275 more compared to Wednesday’s report.
The total number of positive cases since the start of pandemic now reached 361,238 and the total number of deaths is 5,981.
The number of hospitalizations increased by 22 while the number of people on ventilators increased by 16. Hospitalized are 669 people of which 119 are on ventilators.
Gov. Asa Hutchinson was happy with the lower number of positive cases but still urges people to get vaccinated as that is the best way to stop the spread of the virus.
