Arkansas ranks near the bottom for woman-friendliness

Little Rock, Arkansas – A new study found that being a woman in Arkansas is not recommended.
On February 27, WalletHub placed Arkansas’s women’s living standards 48th out of the 50 states and the District of Columbia. Women’s social and economic well-being, followed by women’s access to safety and health care, were the two areas utilized by the study to determine its rankings.
Arkansas ranked 44th in terms of the social and economic well-being of women, but 51st overall for safety and health care.
Metrics like the median income for women, job stability, and the proportion of women-owned enterprises were used to assess the economic and social well-being of each state. Rankings for health care and safety were based on factors such as ease of access to abortion, the standard of women’s hospitals, and family-friendliness.
Arkansas’s female homicide rate, which was at the bottom of the list with Wyoming, Oklahoma, and Alaska, was another factor in the state’s poor score. In terms of the proportion of women that cast ballots in the 2020 presidential election, the state came in 50th out of 51.
According to the survey, Vermont is the ideal state for women. In the poll, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Oklahoma came in 49th, 50th, and 51st place respectively.
