BBQ at the Bailey event is UA Little Rock’s attempt to bring the neighborhood together
Little Rock, Arkansas – Next month, the University of Arkansas in Little Rock will host its annual BBQ at Bailey event to welcome back students, professors, and alumni.
From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, BBQ at Bailey will take place at the Grove close to the Fine Arts Center. All attendees will receive free BBQ sandwiches in addition to music and games.
Due to changes on campus this year, the event, which usually takes place at the Bailey Alumni & Friends Center, will instead take place at the Grove. An alumni plaza, which will have bricks devoted to alumni from the previous 96 years, is now being built on the Bailey Center.
To support student scholarships, programming, and the campus environment, the institution is now seeking to raise $250 million.
