Fatal accident at the intersection of Bishop Lindsey and Locust Street

North Little Rock, Arkansas – On April 7, around 11:30 p.m., officers attempted to make a traffic stop in the area of Smothers Street and East Washington Avenue, the North Little Rock Police Department said.
A pursuit was initiated after the driver of the vehicle failed to stop for officers.
The pursuit ended when the fleeing vehicle collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Locust Street and Bishop Lindsey Avenue.
The driver and two occupants of the fleeing vehicle were critically injured and transported to the hospital.
Due to their injuries, two passengers from the fleeing vehicle later died.
The driver of the vehicle struck by the fleeing vehicle was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives with the North Little Rock Police Department have started an investigation into the fatal vehicle collision.
According to police, the driver of the fleeing vehicle is currently listed in critical condition at an area hospital.
