Little Rock, Arkansas – A Powerball ticket purchaser from Arkansas had 150,000 reasons to celebrate on Tuesday.
A $150,000 winning ticket was purchased at the Doublebees restaurant in Perryville, which is situated at 209 South Fourche Avenue, according to officials with the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery.
The ticket had a Power Play in addition to four matching numbers. The $1 Power Play option, according to the officials, increased the reward from $50,000 to $150,000.
The prize has not yet been claimed by the ticket holder. The owner of the ticket has 180 days to do so, according to lottery officials.
In the Monday night drawing, 1,795 people received winning tickets worth $4 or more. The grand prize winner from Monday night brought the total win to $166,968.
The prizes for both multi-state lotteries now played in Arkansas are substantial. Wednesday’s Powerball drawing has a $400 jackpot, while Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing has a top prize of $300 million.
Officials of the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery claim that since 2009, the lottery has generated more than $1.2 billion in revenue for scholarships.
