Search continues for Arkansas fugitive who fled from police in Bryant

LITTLE ROCK — Authorities are still looking for an Arkansas fugitive who fled from U.S. Marshals and the Saline County deputies in Bryant on Tuesday.
Frankie Allen Whaley Jr., of Conway, is wanted for felony possession of a firearm, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and “numerous other violent felonies,” according to the U.S. Marshals Service. He is considered armed and dangerous.
On Tuesday, U.S. Marshals and Saline County Sheriff’s deputies reportedly tried to arrest Whaley, according to a Facebook post from Bryant Police Department. He fled in a vehicle down Northlake Road in Bryant and crashed the car near Hilltop Road, police said. He then ran from the scene into the woods nearby. Bryant police were called to assist in the search but they were unable to find Whaley.
U.S. Marshals said he was still on the run on Wednesday morning. Bryant police said marshals will continue the search.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Whaley is asked to contact local police or the U.S. Marshals Service.
