Little Rock, Arkansas – Strong winds, huge hail, and heavy rains devastated Arkansas late Thursday night, affecting areas from Calhoun to Jefferson County and all points in between.

Although there was a tornado warning and strong storms, there has been no proof that a tornado ever made landfall, yet there was still damage from strong wind gusts.

In Pine Bluff, trees close to the country club’s surrounding neighborhoods snapped in half.

There have been reports of trees falling on structures in central and south Arkansas.

Numerous photos of the destruction on Hampton’s Main Street in Calhoun County have been received. There was an elementary school there with what looked to be serious roof damage.

According to PowerOutage.us, there were approximately 20,000 consumers without power at midday on Friday.
