Warren woman wins $20,000 in the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery’s Mega Millions drawing

Little Rock, Arkansas – A Mega Millions reward from the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery worth $20,000 was recently claimed by a woman from Arkansas.
For the drawing on July 21, Warren resident Mona Reap bought her winning ticket at Cash’s on Church St. Reap claimed that she bought her ticket after deciding to try her luck after seeing the Powerball and Mega Millions prizes climb.
“It was okay if I didn’t win anything because I was still helping fund college scholarships for Arkansas students,” Reap said.
Reap made the decision to check her tickets after seeing a friend’s Facebook post about the $20,000 prize’s unidentified winner.
“Man, I wonder if that’s me,” Reap thought while reading the status. “I checked my tickets that night and was shocked when I came across the winning Mega Millions ticket. I kept thinking I was looking at it wrong!”
Reap stated that she intended to use the funds for home renovations and her mortgage.
The Mega Millions jackpot is presently projected at $910 million because there was no jackpot winner during Reap’s significant drawing. It will only be the fifth time ever that the jackpot has exceeded $1 billion, even though it would be the fourth consecutive year that a 10-figure jackpot was won.
Since 2009, the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery has raised more than $1.2 billion in funds for scholarships and given over 720,000 scholarships.
