Walmart testing out larger Neighborhood Markets
Bentonville, Arkansas – Walmart revealed on Tuesday that it is experimenting with two bigger Neighborhood Markets.
The floor plans of the two establishments, located in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, and Atlanta, are 57,000 square feet apiece.
This is larger than the typical Neighborhood Market by around 17,000 square feet.
According to Walmart, the new layout will allow them to add wider aisles and a larger selection of merchandise inside the shop.
According to news release the two new locations will be the first of fourteen.
Within the following five years, Walmart intends to open 150 more locations.
