Little Rock, Arkansas – Few of us can claim to have been chosen as a competitor on a game show, but one native of Arkansas did, and she now serves as the state’s representative on a new Netflix series.

While it’s true that living among hundreds of strangers in a foreign nation vying for the same financial prize could be unpleasant, competitor Jesse Jeffers (Player 183) expressed gratitude for the experience.

“This is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be on a show like this,” Jeffers described.

Jeffers, a resident of Cabot, had the opportunity to participate in Squid Game: The Challenge, a reality show, with the goal of taking home the $4.56 million big prize.

If you’ve seen, you already know how it ends, but we won’t give it away. Suffice it to say, he left with some new memories and friends.

“I met plenty of friends. I keep in contact with a lot of them. we’re in some group chats,” Jeffers explained.

He faced many obstacles throughout the two weeks he spent filming.

“It was a fully immersive experience. I had no phone, no contact with the outside world. I never knew what time of day it was either. We didn’t have any outside contact. We did get fresh air breaks and got to leave the studio. but that was here and there for a very few minutes,” Jeffers said.

Indeed, he claimed that this was the most difficult thing he had ever done.

“It was the most mentally challenging thing I’ve ever done. And that red light, green light game was honestly one of the most physically challenging things I’ve ever done,” he added.

Though he claimed he would love to do it again if given the chance, he described his experience as an emotional rollercoaster.

“There’s a lot of mental stressors there and I think that was the most important factor of who made it through the show is how you mentally approach the game,” he explained.

Jeffers will carry on working as a realtor for the time being in both Cabot and his new residence in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

“Sadly, I did not win the $4.56 million. but a lot of people thought I did, but I still got to work,” he said.

Netflix now has all of the episodes available for streaming, with the exception of the conclusion, which will be available the following week.
